The Achavanich Beaker Burial project focuses on an Early Bronze Age burial discovered in 1987 at Achavanich in Caithness. The site and collection was mostly forgotten for almost 30 years but there was still so much to potentially learn from them. The project set out to improve our understanding of this site by carrying out new research. With funding from the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and collaboration with multiple organisations, we are starting to see results revealing new information about the individual buried at Achavanich. Join us for this lunchtime lecture to hear what we have learnt about ‘Ava’ so far.’
