Film screening: Battle of the Somme [Inverness or video conference]

UHI Centre for History  invites you to them  to view the first feature length documentary about WWI. Shot by Geoffrey Malins and J B McDowell between 25 June and 9 July 1916, the film covers the build-up and opening stages of the Battle of the Somme.

Dr Toby Haggith, Senior Curator, Department of Second World War and Mid-Twentieth Century Conflict. at London’s Imperial War Museums, will introduce the film and host a Question and Answer session at the end.

The screening will take place on Wednesday 17 May 2017 at 7pm in the Lecture Theatre, Beechwood Campus, Inverness College UHI. It is also possible to join by VC.
