Recent Palaeoarchaeology Work in the Highlands

Scott Timpany reviews scientific techniques which use plant remains from the past to answer research questions and explain vegetation changes over time. He presents a range of research questions and how these are being applied in current research in the Highlands.

Scott Timpany is Programme Leader for Undergraduate Archaeology at UHI Archeaeology Institute, Orkney. He has wide interests on the use of palaeoenvironmental data for understanding past landscapes, and has been involved in several Highland projects.
