Women on Film in the First World War

As part of the WomensWork100 programme of events, the First World War Centenary Partnership (IWM) is marking the contribution of women to the First World War with a number of film screenings.

On 23rd April IWM and UHI are hosting ‘ Women on Film in the First World War' a selection of three short films showcasing the remarkable stories of women working at on the home front and on the front-lines of war.

The short films will be followed by a panel discussion including Kate Valentine, Director of the 2017 IWM Short Film Festival prize-winning film Deeds Not Words: The Suffragette Surgeons of WW1
