Inverness Townscape Heritage Project - Stakeholder Event

Inverness Townscape Heritage event showcasing the new digital Heritage Trail for Academy Street, Tuesday 25 September, 1pm to 3pm at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, with a trail introduction and welcome at 1:15pm.

This showcase event will give a sneak preview of the website and the opportunity to try it out for yourself, prior to its official launch in October.  Staff will be available for demonstrations throughout.

The site has been developed to preserve the rich heritage of Academy Street and make it accessible to all.  In the past two and half years, over 600 members of the public have been involved in 30 events, to generate a wealth of high quality content.

The results of this public engagement will be exhibited in the afternoon, including stunning detailed line drawings of Academy Street in 1920 by Gordon Lynn.

The Heritage Trail website is a key outcome for the Inverness Townscape Heritage Project and has been delivered in partnership with HighLife Highland and AOC Archaeology Ltd.  Inverness Townscape Heritage Project is a partnership project jointly funded by The Highland Council, Inverness City Heritage Trust and Heritage Lottery Fund.

There will be a complimentary sandwich buffet throughout the event and we look forward to welcoming you then.

Please RSVP to Sarah James-Gaukroger by Thursday 20 September.
