A Walk in Glen Truim

Explore this historic part of Laggan on a guided walk led by Laggan Heritage. Part of Badenoch Festival. Cost £4

About this event

This is a easy-paced walk from the 'Centre of Scotland' to the battlefield of Invernahavon and along the river Spey.

During the walk, we will point out the natural heritage and historic features which can be viewed from our route. After a break midway, (weather dependent), we will complete the walk by visiting Shanval and hearing about this old settlement and finish with a view from the Macpherson cairn looking up the Spey towards Laggan Bridge.

We follow tracks and field-edges on a gentle slope down and a slightly steeper climb back up to complete the walk.

This route is graded as MODERATE. Sturdy footwear is essential.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are sufficiently fit and healthy to take part in this moderate graded walk (up to 3hrs in length, some gradient and or rough terrain).

The tour starts at 10 am. Please arrive 10 mins early.

This tour is for adults only and is not suitable for disabled access. No dogs, please.

Pre-booking via Eventbrite is essential.
