Doing History in Public: An Early Modern(ists’) Perspective

Online panel discussion organised by the UHI Centre of History

Three experts to join  Dr Lucy Dean of UHI Centre for History to reflect on doing and writing about public history as early modernists. The underpinning question driving the discussion will be why are there not more conceptual and reflective public history scholarship about the early modern period/ by early modern scholars? Other panelists include: Dolly MacKinnon (Associate Professor in early modern history at the University of Queensland), Anna Groundwater (Principal Curator of the Renaissance and Early Modern History at National Museum Scotland) and Rachel Delman (Heritage Partnerships Coordinator in the Humanities Division at the University of Oxford) as our expert panel.

This roundtable to have plenty of space for dialogue and questions.

This is an online-only event, and further details and joining instructions can be found on our HTL website. There is no need to pre-book a place.
