Hidden Tain - The Burgh beneath and beside our feet

21 November 2011, Starts: 19:30, Ends: 21:00

This oral heritage session will be led by arachaeologist Cait McCullagh and looking for hints of medieval Tain in the cellars, visiting ecclesiastical Tain and considering  the interesting walls and other bumps and humps, particularly around the Collegiate Church area that might be remnants of the Burgh's medieval past.

If you'd like to add your local knowledge to what is known about Tain, or to simply listen and learn from others we'd be delighted to see you at this oral heritage session.

ARCH is working with the Tain Civic Trust and Highland Archaeological surveys on a European Community Highland LEADER 2007-2013 Programme funded scoping project to look at the potential for further historical and archaeological investigations of the Burgh of Tain - and your knowledge is crucial to our understanding.
