27 October 2010, Starts: 12:30, Ends: 13:00

The Gaels have a word for it!

Talk by Mary Rhind

Dingwall Community Centre

Sponsored by Workers' Educational Association (WEA). Cost £1. No need to book.

Mary Rhind, Literacies Officer, Highland Council will consider a wide range of Gaelic words that English speakers use daily in general conversation. Are you a Gaelic speaker without knowing it? She will also look at some of the many place names in Easter Ross that are Gaelic names and find out what some of them tell us about the past and, indeed, the present too!
