Join Dr Mairi MacPherson, historian and Centre Manager at the Tarbat Discovery Centre in Portmahomack, for a glimpse into her latest research project, ‘Threads of Belonging’. The project is all about the tartans of the Clan Macpherson: history, practice, identity. Mairi will share insights into the history of the tartans now associated with the Macpherson and her own practice of making tartan. She invites you to bring along any tartan pieces you might have – clothing or otherwise – and to share what they mean to you. Refreshments available.
