The Strathfarrar Graphite mine is one of only three historical graphite mines in the UK.  It had a brief flourish of activity in the early 19th century, leaving some upstanding archaeology, a scar on the hillside, and a lot of spoil! Roland Spencer-Jones is giving a talk about the life and demise of the mine to Strathglass Heritage Society.
