IMAG and Highland Folk Museum Anniversaries Conference

To mark the 90th anniversary of the Highland Folk Museum being established by Isobel F. Grant, and the 201st anniversary of the founding of Inverness Museum’s collections, the museums are jointly hosting a conference at Inverness Town House.  Featuring four guest speakers and a host, the day of talks will celebrate the museums’ collections and the new knowledge that arises from their research.  The event is supported by funding from Museums Galleries Scotland. Tickets cost £30 each (lunch and refreshments included) and will go on sale in early October.  A special newsletter with full details of the event will be issued in advance.
