Walking the Stories: Knockfarril ...

ARCH and Bob Pegg of Walking the Stories will lead a walk around Knockfarrill Iron Age Hillfort near Dingwall, exploring heritage, folkore and stories about this site.

Meet at 2pm at the hillfort, or have a guided walk up to the site from Strathpeffer (meet at 1pm at the car park on the road to Ardival). Directions can be obtained from the ARCH office by e-mailing info@archhighland.org.uk or ringing 01349 868230. The afternoon will end at a cafe in Strathpeffer where we will share stores and insights.

This event is part of Walking the Stories, a year-long project initiated by Bob Pegg, and supported by a Creative Scotland storytelling bursary.

Scotland and Beyond: Early Medieval Carved Stones

Conference at  University of Edinburgh and National Museums of Scotland

The conference will open with a public lecture will given by George and Isabel Henderson from 6.30pm – 7.30pm in Lecture Theatre 1, Appleton Tower on Thursday 31st March.

Registration will begin from 8.30am on Friday 1st April, with the conference programme scheduled to take place from 9.00am – 6.00pm. On Saturday 2nd April, the conference programme is scheduled to take place from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
