Major General P C Marriott CB CBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant for Sutherland will talk about the skirmishes at Littleferry in Sutherland which occured between Jacobites and local militia the day before the Battle of Culloden. Appropriately, the talk takes place on the 280th anniversary of Culloden!

Training for Liberation: Norwegians in the Local Area in WWII

In this talk Susan Kruse from ARCH will share results from a project investigating the Norwegians in the local area during WWII, including the story of the filming of a propaganda film in Portmahomack, and the (re)discovery of an unrecorded WWII camp at Newfield. The project discovered far more than expected - but welcome any stories others can share.
