Stunning photography of Highland buildings and landscapes gives a new perspective to familiar monuments. In this talk George will draw on 35 years of experience as a map maker, often using aerial photography, and now embracing the new technology of camera drones to provide a new way of appreciating monuments in the Highland landscape.

Sir John Gordon and the Bouchardon Bust

Organised by Invergordon Museum. Entry is by donation, with all proceeds going to support the development of Invergordon Museum. Refreshments available.
The marble sculpture of Sir John Gordon was created in 1728 by French sculptor Edmé Bouchardon in Rome. Bouchardon was aged 30 and at the start of his artistic career; Gordon was aged 18 or 19 and on his Grand Tour.What is the significance of the bust, the sculptor and the subject himself?
