Description:

Norman Newton will talk about Pierre Delavault, who though born in Paris came to Inverness as the Art Master at Inverness Royal Academy in 1890. In 1903 the Inverness Courier published a book of watercolour drawings of Inverness buildings, with accompanying text. His book is an important source of information for buildings which have now disappeared.

Now a resident of Inver, John Fleming was born and brought up in Yorkshire. Having reached a certain age, he recalls his childhood wartime memories when excitement ran high with little boys, even though times were hard and often dangerous.
