Catch a glimpse of Dingwall through the 20th century, and possibly a little earlier, with photographs, costume, artefacts, and stories. Help identify events, people and places from the Dingwall Museum archive. Everyone is invited to bring photos of buildings, streets, businesses, green space lost to development, people at home, work and recreation, Dingwall in the war years, work outings, civic or school events; newspaper cuttings; your own family anecdotes, and tales of Dingwall’s past. The Reminiscence Café is set up by Dingwall Community Development Company in collaboration with Dingwall Museum.

Excavations by U. of Aberdeen are continuing at Burghead this year. The open day will feature stone carving, metalworking, leather crafting, mask making, pottery, tours of the dig, geophyics demonstrations, display of artefacts

Guided Walk: Achtercairn Archaeology Trail
Led by Jeremy Fenton
Organised by Galirloch Museum, where the walk starts and finishes. Please book ahead of time and meet by 1:30pm. Further details and bookings from the Museum website.
This Guided Walk will take us past ten stone circles (remains of Atlantic Roundhouses) and many other features including wildlife and wonderful scenery. The walk is roughly two miles long, lasting around two hours on rough paths.
