Annual Scotland´s Rural Past conference, this year to be held at Crief Hydro, Crieff.

Full conference programme of talks, and in addition:

Workshops and events will be held during Saturday include:
* Project funding for the future
* Working with schools
* Horrible hachures
* Oral history recording
There will also be lots more going on, including a wide range of SRP projects on display, book stalls, a preview of the new SRP training videos,
and special SRP clinics to deal with specific data entry issues.

On Sunday 31 October SRP and RCAHMS will run two guided walks to local rural settlements
in the area. The walks are free, but places need to be booked in advance and will be allocated on a first come first served basis if demand is high.

ARCH Course: Surveying Your Heritage Practical Outdoor Sessions [Evanton] ...

Learn the practical survey techniques which will enable you to record the archaeological features in your area as part of the Pathways into the Past Project.

There will be 2 introductory sessions 19th and 26th October at Cornerstone cafe in Evanton, then a practical outdoors session over the 30th-31st October near Foulis Castle (contact ARCH for further location details). This will be followed by a third session indoors at the Cornerstone Cafe 2nd November to look at the results.

Cost per indoor session: £2.50/£1.25 optional seniors/free for those on benefits

Cost for outdoor practical sessions on 30th-31st October £5/£2.50 per day
